About
Working Hours 4b is an independent app for tracking your own working time. It is built and published by Budescu Sorin George, an individual developer based in Italy, trading as 4bottles.
Why it exists
The app started from an ordinary problem: keeping a record of hours worked that was detailed enough to be worth having, and quick enough to actually maintain. The tools available at the time fell into two groups. Corporate timesheet software assumed you were an employer tracking staff. Simple hour counters assumed a working day was one block of time, one rate, and nothing else — which is not what an hourly job looks like.
What was missing was something in between: a personal tracker that understood a day can have an early start, a scheduled interval, an unpaid break and overtime, each paid differently; that a lot of people work for more than one employer; and that holidays, sick days and banked hours are part of the picture rather than exceptions to it.
That is what Working Hours 4b is. It has been developed and maintained for years rather than months, and it is now available on Android, iOS and the web, localised into more than twenty languages.
How it is funded
Two ways, and it is worth being direct about both.
Advertising. The free tier and this website carry ads served through Google AdSense. This is what makes it possible to offer a functioning free version rather than a crippled trial.
Subscriptions. Premium and Media remove ads and add features — multiple jobs, cross-platform sync, photo attachments, cloud storage. Prices are shown in your own currency on the pricing page.
There is no third model hiding behind these. We do not sell user data, and the privacy policy states what is collected and why. The cookie banner asks before setting anything used for analytics or advertising, and that choice can be changed at any time.
About the guides
The guides section is written by us and covers the practice of tracking working time: what to record, how overtime and premiums usually work, handling rotas and multiple jobs, banked hours, and reconciling a payslip against your own numbers.
Two things about them are worth stating plainly. They are written to be useful whether or not you use our app — the method matters more than the tool, and a guide that only works inside one product is marketing rather than writing. And they are not legal advice. Working-time law, overtime rules and leave entitlements vary enormously between countries, sectors and individual contracts. Where a guide touches on rules, treat it as a prompt to check your own situation rather than as a statement about it.
If you find something in them that is wrong, please tell us. Corrections are welcome and they get made.
Enterprise 4b
Working Hours 4b tracks one person's time — yours. For supervisors and small businesses that need to manage a team's hours there is a separate app, Enterprise 4b, built on the same underlying model.
